ARDHANARISHVARA – ULTIMATE EMBODIMENT OF TANTRA

Ardhanarishvara is the symbol of the inseparability and interdependence of Shiva and Shakti, which represent the masculine elements and the feminine energy in the tantric conception of the universe.

The deity is depicted as half male half female, as the name means “the lord who is half woman”. Ultimate embodiment of the concept of non-dual consciousness that is beyond gender, form and attributes, Ardhanarishvara symbolizes the unity and balance between masculine and feminine aspects of the being, as inseparable and complementary.

During this retreat, we will explore the fragile balance between these 2 aspects through the physical practice of yoga asanas to harmonise the flow of energy within, in a calm and safe manner, learning to welcome any change, including inner changes.

Through breath and guided meditation, we will refine the balance of our subtle inner universe, bringing together physical aptitudes and mental abilities, focusing not upon the limitations, but rather towards accepting and unifying all aspects of ourselves.

Beginners or advance practitioners, this retreat will give you the opportunity to refine the cohesion between body and mind, and to recreate this unity that goes beyond the illusion of duality.

As the number of participants is limited to 6, don’t wait too long…

Looking forward to seeing you.

Your host:

David is a yoga therapist and Ayurveda practitioner, trained in India and Turkey (RYT 500). Through years of practice and study of different styles of Yoga and spiritual traditions, he has developed a unique practice, with a simple and effective method of teaching,

Spiritually inspired by the wisdom and compassion of the Buddhist tradition & Shivaism Tantra, and the universality of Krishnamurti’s teachings, each practice becomes a holistic journey that cultivates awareness & acceptance, authentic and universal values that give us the opportunity to discover who we really are, and to reach our true potential.

Because David’s style is enhanced by his experience as an Ayurveda Practitioner and a Yoga therapist, all activities, from a restorative/relaxing approach to the more powerful and challenging practice, are designed according to the students’ levels and needs (especially during Yoga Therapy individual sessions), creating a safe physical practice (with an emphasis on adequate body alignment & breathing) that sustains & nourishes your spiritual growth.
